At Suttle Projects, Armed Forces Day is an opportunity to recognise and thank the men and women who are currently serving, as well as those who have served, for their dedication, sacrifice and commitment to our country.

For many within our business, the day has a personal significance. Several members of our team have served in the Armed Forces or have supported close family members throughout their military careers. Their experiences have helped shape the values they bring to our workplace every day – teamwork, resilience, integrity and a commitment to supporting those around them.

Our Operations Manager, who served as a Major in the British Army, reflects on what Armed Forces Day means to him:

"As a veteran, Armed Forces Day, along with Remembrance Sunday, always makes me stop and reflect on my time in the Army. In hindsight, my final day came and went so quickly, and I miss the little things I never expected to miss. Things like getting my kit ready on a Sunday night, fitting PT into the working day, and of course the banter. Whilst it will never be the same, Suttle Projects has helped fill that gap and played a big part in my transition into civilian life. Of note, during a recent chat with our MD, he did not say much, but it spoke volumes when he alluded to the team rallying around a colleague during a difficult time. There was a quiet confidence behind his words that stuck with me. Wishing everyone in my regiment, all serving personnel, veterans and their families all the very best, wherever you may be serving."

On Armed Forces Day, we extend our sincere thanks to everyone who is serving today, to veterans, and to the families whose support makes that service possible.

From all of us at Suttle Projects, thank you for your service.
